We all want to leave a good impression and show good manners in public and in front of the ones we love and care for. Sometimes, small acts make a huge difference and are able to significantly ease everyday life.
Therefore, this is a useful list of the most important unwritten rules in life everyone should follow:
You should never stop in the middle of a busy sidewalk or the entrance of a subway station.
Pay back the money as soon as possible to the one who has borrowed them to you, and do not make him/ her even more uncomfortable to have to ask you for it.
Break up with your partner in person, and not over text message, email or Facebook.
Do not mention your plans with friends in front of people who weren’t invited.
Appreciate the sleep of others, and be quite, meaning that you should not slam the door, listen to loud music, or laugh.
To thank the person who gives you space, or the right of way on the road, wave to him.
Prepare a meal for your friends who have come to help you with the housework.
Only if they insist they do not want to eat it, leave the last piece of something to the person who bought it.
When you look at a picture on someone’s phone, do not swipe left or right as you might find something the other person doesn’t want you to see.
If you cannot answer the phone, write a message that you will call back as soon as you are free.
No one wants to hear crunching, so chew with the mouth closed.
If you spend the night at someone’s house, you should make the bed before you leave.
You should leave at least one buffer urinal between you and the person next to you.
If someone else cooks for you, you should offer to wash the dishes.
Don’t make others feel uncomfortable, and either control your arguments in public or go somewhere else.
To show you are thankful, return the borrowed car with a full tank of gas, or at least more than what you got it.
